“Alcohol. Because no great love story ever started with someone eating a salad.”
The word whimsical comes to mind when reminiscing on Sarah and Matt’s big day. From little wedding details like the above quote that greeted guests at the bar to the intricate floral arrangements at each table, you could tell that Sarah and Matt had an eye for details in making their special day a romantically whimsical one to remember. Kristin Burkemper walked into my studio not knowing what was in store for her in the afternoon ahead. She mentioned that she hadn’t put on any makeup that morning and wasn’t sure what to expect from her scheduled empowerment session.

I am so excited to share that Justin and Michelle’s Villa Terrace wedding was selected as a special feature in Wisconsin Bride as part of their Real Weddings section.
Since it’s below freezing outside in Wisconsin at the moment, I thought reflecting on one of my warmer weddings would be a nice change in pace!
2016 has been one heck of a year. It was a year of female empowerment: from Hillary’s powerful presidential campaign to the U.S. women’s gymnastics team winning gold at the summer Olympics to getting to see the sensational Adele live with my daughter, Hannah. It was also the year of surprises: the Cubs winning the world series after 108 years and the reign of Trump.
